Growing Routes offers a variety of small-group summer programs for all ages. Our focus is on nurturing confidence, creativity, and compassion. We empower participants through exploration of self, community, and culture.

Seeking Routes

The Seeking Routes Day Camp is a week-long day camp for girls. This program nurtures independence and joy through a magical week of arts and crafts, swimming, baking, exploring, scavenger hunts, games, tie dying, knitting, beading, group games, plaster masks, beach combing, campfires, Ultimate Frisbee, journaling, yoga, drama, reading, making new friends and more! We make our snack every day, which varies from pretzels and bread to fresh pies and homemade ice cream! Space limited to 10 campers.

Session 1: 7/12 - 7/16 2021, Ages 8-10

Session 2: 7/19 - 7/23 2021, Ages 6-8

Growing Together (Overnight Camp)

The Growing Together Camp is a week-long overnight experience for young girls on beautiful Wilson Lake in Wilton, Maine. This program includes laid-back fun summertime activities with the added excitement of being right on the lake. We will enjoy the lake, hiking, berry picking, playing games, doing arts and crafts, cooking over an open campfire almost every night, and generally enjoying outdoor life in Maine in the summer! Space limited to 7.

Exploring Routes

The Exploring Routes Camp is a week-long overnight experience for middle school girls. This program includes outdoor adventures, with a focus on leadership, combined with learning skills for exploring natural surroundings. We will enjoy the lake, do arts and crafts, journal, challenge ourselves physically, hike and explore nearby mountains and parks, practice yoga, play Ultimate Frisbee, swim, learn skills for exploring and staying safe in the wilderness, cook over an open campfire almost every night, and generally enjoy outdoor life in Maine in the summer! Space limited to 7.

Growing Strong Routes

The Growing Strong Routes Camp is a week-long program designed to inspire joy and build community for young transgender and gender-expansive youth (ages 6-8). Growing Routes is excited to be partnering with transgender and gender-expansive mentors, professionals, and parent trans allies to offer this private, fun filled and relaxed program where kids can be themselves while surrounded by a community of peers.

Ages: 6-8

Payment and Refund Policy: Initial deposit required to reserve spot. Full payment due no later than four weeks before the start of camp. Partial refunds will be considered on a case by case basis if more than four weeks before the start of camp. No refunds within four weeks of the start of camp.
